How Tesla Smart Summon can help the disable getting in the car (video).

How Tesla Summon is helpful for people with disabilities (video demo)

One of the best use-case for the Tesla Smart Summon feature is shown in the following video. A disabled person in the wheelchair is not able to get into his Tesla Model 3 parked in a tight parking spot.

The Tesla Summon feature comes to the rescue and when it is triggered, the car comes out of the tight parking space by itself. This video demonstrates how helpful the Tesla Autopilot features can be for physically challenged people.

The Summon is part of Tesla Autopilot’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature suite. With time Tesla has increased the price of FSD and it is currently priced at $8,000.

Tesla online car configurator defines the Summon feature as:

Your parked car will come find you anywhere in a parking lot. Really.

Several Tesla Community members in this video thread suggest that FSD or the limited features that help in daily car use should be given free to customers with disabilities.

Let us know in the comments section below if Tesla should make these features available to people with disabilities or not.

In other cases, we have seen Tesla owners getting their Teslas out of the garage but one owner got her Model S damaged by using the feature in a wrong manner.
