Tesla Cybertruck Dual and Tri-Motor options production timelines pulled back to 2021.

Tesla Cybertruck Dual and Tri-Motor production to start 1 year earlier

Surprisingly Tesla just updated its Tesla Cybertruck order page with the new timelines for the Dual and Tri-Motor variants’ estimated production start — now instead of previously stated 2022, these variants will be coming late 2021, a whole year earlier.

Although the Silicon Valley-based automaker did not announce this on any of their social media pages or Elon Musk’s Twitter account, this is pretty much considered official as the estimated production year changed silently on the configurator.

The production start estimate for the Single Motor RWD still shows ‘late 2022’, very much understandable as the norm at Tesla, the company rolls out the top-end vehicle variant first and then trickle down to lower-end variants in order of pricing, this enables the automaker to make the most profit from early adopters.

Historically Tesla Model 3 early owners paid way more for a non-Performance AWD version than for what the Model 3 Performance is available today.

Tesla’s main reason for re-scheduling the Cybertruck production timeline must be the strong demand of the futuristic pickup truck, according to Elon Musk’s last update, Tesla had received a total of 250,000 pre-orders for the Cybertruck and this figure is around 2 weeks old now. Even if 50% reservation holders convert to real buyers, it would be enough for the first year or so of production and deliveries at the company.

Tesla Cybertruck first shocked the entire world at the unveiling event and since it has been one of the most debated topics on the internet, but slowly Tesla, electric vehicle, and pickup truck enthusiasts are realizing the practicality and longevity of the Cybertruck to be more attractive than the looks — even the looks are growing on people, according an unlimited feedback we have seen on social media and our own Cybertruck social pages of a combined following of more than 12,000.

Cybertruck is even more aerodynamic than the Ford F-150 Raptor and the Dodge Ram pickup trucks, according to Computational Fluid Dynamics simulation tests, it is dent proof, needs no repaint, just buff it whenever you want a new shine, what else an owner will want more? These reasons have convinced a vast majority of people to pull the trigger on purchasing one.
