Elon Musk visits China for a Gigafactory 3 visit and World AI Conference debate

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is in Shanghai, China right now where his first part of the visit where he participated in a debate over Artificial Intelligence and the future of humanity with Alibaba founder Jack Ma is completed, during the debate he mentioned that he is also here for Gigafactory 3 as well.

Both Jack Ma and Elon Musk raised great points about AI, human intelligence, and how it can impact our future as a whole at the World AI Conference (WAIC) main event, you can watch the full debate in the following video.

Elon Musk will also be visiting Tesla Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai to look at the immense progress that has been made since the inauguration this year in January — we reported earlier this week that the Tesla Model 3 assembly lines at the Gigafactory 3 have been set up and all preparations are in place to welcome Elon Musk.

There are rumors that the Tesla Model 3 showcased at the WAIC in Shanghai is the first China-made Model 3, but this has not been officially confirmed yet, however, in two months the first production Chinese Model 3s are expected to exit the Gigafactory 3 and later next year will be the turn of the Model Y production.

The arguments over AI and the impacts of it on humanity from both Elon Musk and Jack Ma were different because Elon has a purely scientific background and Jack is coming from an arts background — it’s the debate between the brain and the heart, logic vs. emotion, an engineer vs. an artist.
