You cannot get closer to a Tesla Model 3 than this – HD Gallery

Jun 10, 2017 | by Iqtidar Ali

Never before have a Model 3 been caught unattended and even uncovered but yesterday was the day and WattLOL from the Tesla Subreddit took full advantage of the situation.

These days Model 3 sightings are a usual thing at least in California where people take pictures and videos of the highly anticipated mass-market electric car almost on a daily basis. But this instance is a unique one where the photographer was able to get very detailed high-quality shots.

The car was left unguarded while supercharging but the dashboard screen and steering wheel were covered with a sweatshirt. However a great shot of the dash and screen were caught a couple weeks ago around Tesla HQ.

Also taped wires from the rear of the steering wheel/center-screen are seen which stretch to the front fender and the frunk but we are not able to determine the purpose of this wiring. The rear window also has a device covered with tape and connected with wires that might be a sensor or a camera but who knows.

These charge port pictures are one of the rarest since we can see closely that the port opens upwards and is operated manually as described by Tesla features comparison chart a few days ago.

Let’s enjoy the photo gallery below, we have optimized and re-touched photos for lighting improvement and faster downloading, you can access all the photos by WattLOL on imgur.

Latest: New HD photos of the interior don’t leave much to the imagination.

You need a polarising filter [to remove the glass glare for interior shots].

How is it so hard to walk up to the car, cup your hands on the glass to block the reflections and get a great photo?
…. It’s so simple

Tesla Model 3 Patents Reveal More Concrete Information

[…] V-Spoke Wheel Design. “This wheel design first appeared on the Model 3 at the initial unveil evening on the Silver Model 3 prototype. These wheels are the most commonly seen on the Model 3 release candidates spotted frequently for the last few months. The v-spoke terminology is popular among the Tesla enthusiast community referring to the 10 spokes forming 5 beautiful V shapes of the wheel. Let’s compare v-spoke wheel design submitted for the patent by Tesla with the real wheel seen on a release candidate recently spotted at Harris Ranch.” […]
