First cargo trip of the Tesla Semi ‘from Gigafactory to Fremont car factory’
Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared photos of two Tesla Semi Trucks leaving Gigafactory 1 in Nevada to deliver battery packs to Tesla’s Fremont factory in California (pics below).
These pictures truly stole the limelight from Geneva Motor Show as they gathered at least 1 million likes, shares, and upvotes across different social media channels. This is what Elon Musk had to say;
First production cargo trip of the Tesla Semi heavy duty truck, carrying battery packs from the Gigafactory in the Nevada mountains to the car factory in California.
Elon Musk has lately been very confident saying Tesla Semi Truck’s production version will have better specifications than the prototype unveiled last year at the same price announced (He said this in a tweet reply to Electrek).
These are probably the same prototype trucks from the unveil event also spotted a few times on the highway (video below) between Gigafactory Nevada and Fremont. But until now they were just seen with bobtails (without the cargo trailer).
These two pictures are the only proof of the Tesla Semi trucks pulling the cargo load until now, it’s a long highway between Gigafactory and Fremont factory (at least 259 miles using the I-80 highway according to Google maps), so we might have someone capture a video of the Tesla Semi Truck with the cargo, stay tuned.
