Tesla launches the $35k Tesla Model 3 Standard and $37k Standard Plus variants
After almost 3 years of wait, the Tesla Model 3 Standard which now costs $35,000 is here to order for the masses — this is big news for the entire automotive industry as Elon Musk kept the promise he made at the first unveiling of the Tesla Model 3.
This is big news for the entire automotive sector who thought it would never be possible for Tesla to offer a $35k electric sedan with the current battery costs and technology, but here we are Elon Musk and his team at Tesla has done it.
Tesla actually launched two variants of the Standard RWD Model 3 ‘Model 3 Standard Range’ and ‘Model 3 Standard Plus Range’ which are available to order for $35,000 and $37,000 respectively (see screenshots below).
The interesting thing is Tesla is giving 2-4 weeks of delivery time for both of these new Tesla Model 3 variants, which is fast enough for the masses to grab their dream electric car.
Tesla is offering ‘Standard Interior’ for the $35k Model 3 and ‘Partial Premium Interior’ for the $37k Standard Plus Range Model 3 — the standard interior is the old time ‘All Black’ option included, Tesla had discontinued this option and kept for the base Model 3 variant that has now launched.
When you select the ‘Standard Plus Range’ Model 3, the Tesla Online Design Studio gives you the option of selecting ‘Black and White’ interior for an additional $1,000 (full details of all the interior options below).
Full Self Driving (FSD) is also back in the Tesla Online Design Studio, which is a $5,000 option as before, Autopilot is still $3,000.
