First teaser image of Model Y revealed by Tesla

Tesla revealed the first teaser image (below) of their upcoming compact SUV for the masses at today’s Tesla shareholders meeting. The photo does not show much but the upper portion of the front-fascia gives an idea of the design philosophy that is in sync with the Model 3’s styling.
Although we have tried some Photoshop skills on the image but Tesla people are intelligent enough to discard any of these possibilities of revealing much. This compact SUV/Crossover will be a direct competitor to Audi Q2, Audi Q3, Mercedes GLA and similar sized compact sedans from several manufacturers.
A couple months ago in the end of March, Elon Musk tweeted that Model Y is also coming in a few years but teasing it at this moment seems to create another wave of excitement which was a bit lost after the Model 3 anti-selling attempts and the VIP Tesla Factory tour last week.

Tesla subreddit user ‘luxendary’ was successful in isolating the full Model Y silhouette (image below) from the background of the original image above which shows more clarity on the design lines.

‘Iambro’ on Tesla Subreddit present at the shareholder meeting revealed that Tesla believes Model Y demand will surpass that of the Model 3 and it will be built at a new facility rather than the Fremont Factory.
According to him Tesla also believes that the CapEx (Capital Expenditures) savings ‘will be a factor of 2’ thus the profitability expected on Model Y sales will be greater compared to the Model 3.
Similarly earlier this year at the end of April Tesla released a teaser image of the Tesla Semi Truck that is due to be unveiled in upcoming September.
