The Boring Company was no joke when Elon Musk said “Traffic is driving me nuts. Am going to build a tunnel boring machine and just start digging”, thus ‘The Boring Company’ was born to dig holes underground and ease traffic congestion issues for the future.

The first pictures (gallery below) of The Boring Company’s Boring Machine erupted on Instagram by user “davesvanlife” who presumably is a SpaceX employee & others on the subreddit r/BoringCompany/. Tesla/SpaceX CEO Elon Musk already have confirmed the plans of the first tunnel He wants to build is from his Desk at SpaceX to Crenshaw and the 105 Freeway.

Update: Tesla releases teaser photo of the Tesla Semi Truck and 3D animated concept video of The Boring Company’s tunnel ecosystem.

Earlier in the Tunneling phase Elon Musk was looking to buy a 2015 boring machine called ‘Nannie’ which is a 12,00 ton heavy and 400 feet long behemoth of a machine. It is unclear by looking at the latest picture if this is the same machine.

At the time of this writing the location of Elon Musk’s Twitter account shows as ‘Boring’ as He is a big fan of ‘easter-eggs’ you have to sometimes crack the code. Which means there was actually tunneling progress underway at SpaceX towards destination.

The Boring Machine of Elon Musk arrived at a time when other companies like Lillium have successfully carried out the maiden flight of their ‘electric VTOL jet’ which intended to serve as on-demand air-taxi in the near future. Also Uber just wrapped-up their three day conference on on-demand flying taxis. In this scenario where will Elon Musk’s tunnels stand as a means to eradicate traffic congestion, only time will tell.
