Plane crashes in to a Tesla Model X

Tesla Model X hit by a small airplane, everyone survives

A DEA training airplane crashed into a Tesla Model X and other vehicles while trying an emergency landing on the road yesterday. Luckily everyone involved in the accident survived — three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The Tesla Model X involved in the accident belongs to a local businessman Oniel Kurup, who shared his experience in a Facebook Post as:

Many saw this on the news just now. And I’m getting calls with concerns about our saftey. Want to let all my friends and family know that Aarav and I are completely fine.. GOD and this CAR truly saved us today. Not a scratch on us. No one believed me when I called them to let them know a plane crashed into me. Tesla, people thought It was a prank call. Wife laughed at me at first.. Jokes aside, this was a serious matter, I saw my life flash in that minute. A second is all it takes.

This would’ve been unbelievable for anyone until watching it for themselves (pictures below). The plane involved in the crash was a Cessna 206 on a training flight carrying DEA agents.

We can also see a Mercedes S Class behind the Tesla Model X that seems to have been lucky enough to avoid the strike altogether, maybe the Model X worked as a shield in-front of it.

The plane crash site is just a mile away from the airport and half a mile away from a high-school (Fort Bend County, Sugar Land, Texas) — the situation could’ve been worse but as Oniel mentioned above God saved him by having him in a Tesla Model X — for a different vehicle, this might have been a different story.

Tesla Model X is one of the safest cars on the planet — NHTSA gave Model X a 5-star safety rating in all categories. Tesla Model X also has an immense towing power that is uncovered from time to time by owners, enthusiasts, and Tesla themselves.

A plane hitting a vehicle on the road is a rare scenario but Tesla Model X has stood firm against this test as well. Last year another Model X was crashed in a high-speed police chase but the groom walked away from the electric SUV safe and sound just before his wedding night.

Oniel shared more pictures of the crash after realizing that he was still alive and well.
