Porsche Taycan has taken the internet by storm since its world debut earlier this week, even Elon Musk felt the urge to throw a couple of tweets at it, yes the Taycan is the hot topic in the car universe right now, but the rivals it is facing are fierce, like the Model S P100D and everyone’s favorite Tesla Model 3 Performance.
The top measures of an electric car’s worth is how much range it can give you on a max charge, how quickly it can be charged and the abundance of the charging network — but Porsche USA website has totally gotten rid of any mention on their Taycan home page of the word ‘range‘, strange!
The range numbers mentioned in the following comparison table are taken from the presentation at the unveiling event, which is based on the WLTP standard i.e. infamous for reporting more range than expected in the real-world experience.
Although price-wise Model 3 vs. Taycan is no comparison as the ratio is around 2.5:1, it is interesting to know how much value for money a Tesla Model 3 is providing with some comparable features and performance numbers.
