In latest Tesla Semi video spotting (video below), the Tesla Semi Truck prototype is seen Supercharging at the Madonna Inn Supercharger in San Luis Obispo getting ready for its next phase of the journey.
A Tesla enthusiast Steven M Conroy was present at the Supercharger and was continuously capturing the footage of the futuristic electric truck from Tesla — here we can experience the interesting sound of the quad-motor electric hauler again after a while.
Tesla’s semi trailer surely is a powerful machine as we see it pulling the loaded container very easily from the Supercharging location and easily cruising the highway on speeds above 55 mph.
At one time Steven was not even able to catch the Tesla Semi driving at 58 mph in his car — another interesting thing we saw at the Supercharger when the driver came down from his cabin and opened the rear-door and we saw this opened for the first time, this space might be used as a ‘sleeper cabin’ in the future as predicted before.
The Tesla Semi prototype truck is a 300 mile range test mule which is seen multiple times now moving goods between the Gigafactory 1 in Nevada and the Tesla’s Fremont car factory.
Recently Nikola Motors sued Tesla over alleged design theft of their Nikola One hydrogen powered truck but Tesla was able to get a design patent approval from the US Patent Examiner for the Tesla Semi Truck (full details here).
Also interesting is that we see the Tesla Semi Truck cruising on the highway at night for the first time, that makes this video fun to watch, the smooth acceleration of the Tesla Semi’s electric drivetrain is winning the hearts of big customers like UPS, Pepsi, FedEx, Bee’ah, Budweiser and more.
