The missing ‘Gray’ color of the Tesla Model 3 is found

Jul 14, 2017 | by Iqtidar Ali

Although the number plate is the same on all spotted Tesla Model 3 prototypes i.e. ‘MFG 63277’ but surely the colors are not. The one color that has been missing from the Model 3 gamut was the ‘gray’, now it’s found and is getting good amount of attention.

Brian Armer spotted the Gray Tesla Model 3 (photo below) when he was driving alone around the Tesla HQ in Palo Alto, CA, which he posted on twitter yesterday.

Previously Model 3s have been spotted in Black, Silver, Red, Blue, White and Signature Red but Gray color is spotted for the first time after the first ever Black Tesla Model 3 production version came off the assembly line last Friday.

Just before production start Tesla has been on an aggressive Model 3 anti-selling campaign, where they provided a comparison chart between Model S and 3 which expressly mentions there will be less than 100 configurations available for the Model 3.

If Signature Red is kept exclusive for the Founder’s Series or the Mar 31st reservation holders we will be left with 6 total colors choose-able in the online configurator when it is available on or after 28th July.
