The legendary Jay Leno talks about the future of Teslas and EVs

Jay Leno talking about the future of Teslas and Electric Vehicles on CNBC.

As the next season of the CNBC show ‘Jay Leno’s Garage’ starts the 28th of the month, the legendary car enthusiast shares his views about the future of Tesla and electric vehicles in general — according to him EVs are the future.

“I have a Tesla. I’ve had it for three years. I’ve never done anything. There’s no fluids to change. There’s nothing, ” Leno told “The Exchange. ”

The fact that electric cars are very low maintenance compared to the internal combustion vehicles is a very strong selling point in addition to being zero-emissions car neutralizers, in Leno’s experience as a Tesla owner, you can save both your precious time and money avoiding the hassle of regular servicing.

In Jay Leno’s view Tesla has the edge above the rest of the automotive industry just because they have done the job of creating ‘better’ electric cars that come with a 350 – 400 mile range, eliminating the ‘range anxiety’ phenomenon.

EVs are faster than the gas cars as well and he said: “there’s almost no reason to have a gas car unless you’re doing long-haul duty”, he also predicted that in the future, the number of gas cars will be that of the ‘stick shift (manual transmission)’ cars of today.

Last year Jay Leno visited the Tesla Design Center in Hawthorne, California to experience the Tesla Model 3 and the Next-gen Tesla Roadster first hand, he was super impressed by the cars of the future, his visit and meeting with Franz Von Holzhausen were featured in the following episode of the Jay Leno’s Garage.

Jay Leno also expresses his concern over Tesla FUD or enmity against the company as the company is as ‘American’ as one could be that is providing jobs to thousands of Americans on its home ground, the hate and the bearish attitude towards Tesla (TSLA) is not understandable.
