Dubai based businessman from the Indian origin Balvinder Sahni bought a rare number plate “D 5” in an auctioned held Saturday 8 Oct 2016. The number plate was bought for 33 Million UAE Dirhams which translates to around $8.98 Million US Dollars.
The real estate mogul Balvinder Sahni is a Rolls Royce collector who also loves unique number plates. He intends to put this exquisite number plate on one of his black Rolls Royces. In total Sahni is believed to have a 100 million dirhams (27 million dollars) worth of cars and number plates in his collection.
Total 80 number plates were offered in the auction in which D 5 got the highest bid actually it’s the highest ever in Dubai history.
